The space:

Settlers retreat is a beautiful renovated weekender suitable for a family or a group of friends wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of suburbia. There is room for every guest with two living spaces over two levels and property has a wood burning heater, ceiling fans and air conditioning throughout to keep you cool and warm all year round.

On level one (main floor) you will find bedroom one and bedroom two, a separate toilet and the main bathroom. It is also where you will find the kitchen, laundry and the open plan lounge/dining area with a wood burning heater perfect for a cosy winters night.
Through French doors off the main lounge/dining area, a generous balcony including a BBQ and outdoor dining table awaits overlooking the garden and towards the Macdonald River.

The second level is accessed via 19 stairs which includes the third bedroom, bathroom and a relaxing library space for those who would like to have some extra peace and quiet. This space also doubles as the fourth sleeping space with a pull-out bed inside the wrap around sofa.
The third bedroom is perfect for a second family to stay or friends who are happy to share. The room is made up of one queen bed, one loft double bed (accessed by a ladder), a single bed and a spare single mattress.
This level also has a lovely patio area that leads out into the garden which features lovely established trees and gardens.
The garden flows down to the river where you can enjoy swimming or kayaking to explore the river ( the river is tidal and can be fast moving, please swim with care).

Wisemans Ferry village is less than 15 minutes away where you will find a service station, grocer, pub, cafe and bowling club.

Other local attractions and activities include the Convict Trail historic walk, water skiing and fishing on the Macdonald/Hawkesbury River and the Settlers Arms Inn at St Albans is great for a historic pub lunch.

Guest access:

You will have private access to the entire property and the garden that flows straight down to the MacDonald river.

There is free parking onsite for one car.

The property is self-check in and all details will provided 24 hours before check-in and all "how to details" for the property are available here in the app.

There is no public transport in this area, however there is a local driver with a mini bus who can be booked for transport. Please contact me if you need this service before your stay so we can share the details.

Other things to note:

The property is accessed via a set of stairs (16 steps) from the parking area.

The property is fenced but the main garden that leads to the river edge is not fenced. Children need to be supervised at all times!

The second level is accessed via 19 steps to the lower level where you will find the second lounge area, 2nd bathroom and third and fourth sleeping areas.
